Hello everyone. Raya on the Dixie Queen is just around the corner! Seated tickets are sold out, but standing tickets are still available (unpaid booked tickets have been released). So call Fatin (07543096544) to get your tickets now! (Just some information regarding standing tickets, you are only required to stand on the Upper deck during performances. There will be seats on the Lower deck.) Due to unavoidable circumstances, we regretfully announce that drinks are not allowed on board and are charged at £1.50 per glass. We deeply apologize for the inconvenience. We are also pleased to announce that we will be having anakbrunei on board with us on the 17th October, Saturday, as our guest photographer. So ladies and gentlemen, dress your best! As we are sailing east from Tower Pier, Tower Bridge (an iconic London structure) will be lifted specifically for us, so don’t miss this opportunity! Paid tickets will be issued at the Lobby, Brunei Hall, on Friday (16th Oct.) 7pm - late and Saturday (17th Oct.) 9 – 10am. If you are unsure about how to get to Tower Pier, we will be leaving Brunei Hall (time to be confirmed) to assist a group of people. (Please do not forget to bring your Oyster card!) Questions are welcomed during the issuing of tickets (mentioned above). On the day, boarding will start at 11.45pm until 12.20pm. We highly stress that the boat will embark promptly from Tower Pier at 12.20pm, so please be punctual. Tickets will not be reimbursed upon missing the boarding period.

Hari Raya 2009 - Poll
26 Aug 2009, Wednesday
In response to the recent polls regarding the Hari Raya 2009 Celebrations in the UK, the Council has decided overturn its previous decision. There WILL BE a celebration held by the BSUnion in the UK.
The event will take place during the 3rd week of October. More details will follow shortly, so keep an eye out for them and check back regularly.
The Council has been debating the issue of the 2009 Hari Raya Celebrations in the UK. This year, the first 2 weeks of Hari Raya falls towards the end of the Summer Holidays and just before the start of new Semesters. As a result, most students will be in Brunei for Hari Raya. Therefore, the Council has tentatively decided that the BSUnion will NOT be holding Hari Raya Celebrations this year.
However, the Council is keen to get the opinion from the members of the Students’ Union. We are therefore opening the matter to Students by having a poll.Should we get enough votes, the Council will take it into great consideration, allowing for other logistics to ensure that students get good value for money. You wouldn’t want to buy tickets to a subpar celebration would you?
So, cast your vote and be heard.
